A former marketing executive and award-winning independent film director, Sam Banerjee writes novels in various genres. Having lived across three continents, Sam draws heavily on a life of international travel, dynamic careers in media and digital marketing, and the unforgettable mischief of his own boarding school years to bring stories with warmth, adventure and a hint of magic-realism. 

Moving away from saturated fantasy tropes, with his first middle-grade novel, Jerry & The Lost Treasure of Aspen Valley, he crafts real-world treasure-hunt stories filled with the classic ensemble friendship energy of The Goonies and Stranger Things. Sam’s work aims to empower young readers through curiosity, bravery, and kindness. A member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Sam lives in Houston, Texas.
